• Adult learn-to-swim
Adult Learn to Swim Lessons: No one is too old to learn! Adult swimming lessons for all ages are available. The price structure for adult lessons is the same as for Junior Learn to Swim lessons.
• Specialised Little Star Baby Floating Programme
- Age: 6 - ±20 months
- Location: Ryk Neethling Swimming Stars™ Faerie Glen, new dedicated indoor baby pool.
- Duration: 24 lessons, preferably twice a week (approx. 3 months )
- Cost: R1650.00 (payment options available). Fee includes: orientation session; information pack; complimentary Huggies Little Swimmers nappies; certificate
- NOTE - if a baby does not graduate within 24 lessons, the programme will be extended FREE OF CHARGE
Course Description:
Babies from the age of six to approximately 20 months are taught to float on their backs in all water conditions with ease and comfort.
This highly specialized course is recognised internationally. On completion of the course the baby will be able to float on his/her back for up to fifteen minutes (fully dressed) without any discomfort or panic. This will allow a parent or Care Giver to realize that the baby / toddler is missing and will provide the opportunity to be saved from possible drowning.
Babies are gradually and lovingly introduced to the water with the help of the Mother or Care Giver.
Babies are never frightened or purposefully submerged. Babies’ natural reflex that prevents them from swallowing water, is utilised during this course. This reflex must be stimulated before the age of 2 years old, as Toddlers loose this ability as they grow older. The process and the importance of water safety are thoroughly explained to parents. When a baby accidently falls into water, the shock can cause heart failure which is fatal. Babies also drown from suffocation when struggling and gasping for air in water. The Baby Water Safety Floating Course addresses and eliminates both these emergency conditions.
Experience has proven that babies which are taught to float at a young age not only learn to swim at a very early age but also master their different developmental stages quickly and with advanced maturity.
• Adult & disability swimming

• Stroke correction
Older swimmers that wish to correct and refine their swimming strokes are welcome to book stroke correction sessions.
These sessions can be 3, 4 or even 5 times per week. Swimmers receive intensive stroke correction drills.
Cost: R65 per session
Duration of Sessions: 30 - 45min
• Adult Aqua Aerobics
Join our qualified Aerobics Instructor for a refreshing early morning Aqua-Aerobics Class twice a week. Mondays and Wednesdays 07:30 – 08:15. The ideal low impact cardio workout.
